Here's a bloke I'd like to meet. Born in the reign of Queen Victoria. Retired at age 65 in 1962.

Many of these folks that live a long time, really have excellent genetics. They have a particular gene that makes them 3-4 times more likely to make it to their 90's (excepting of course some accident). Now I am sure for those supercentennarians there is probably an even more unique gene.
I think through good diet and exercise, one can really maximize how you will react to aging, but not necessarily increase greatly your longetivity. This would mean that you could be able to reasonably do well into your 60's, 70's, 80's etc... Not be bed ridden etc...
Pretty funny he retired in 1962, all the world went to hell during that time. Perfect time to go de-stress . I mean these individuals are so off the standard deviations of everyone else, its like a mini-semi immortality. As far as retirement goes, this guy probably worked less years then what he has enjoyed in retirement. He definitely got the bang for his buck.
