Subject: [RCC] Open Debate on Sedevacantism (is JP II a Pope?)


I am taking the unusual step of opening up the list to OPEN DEBATE on whether JP II is the validly reigning Pontiff of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic, Roman Church.

As moderator, I will allow through all substantive contributions. However, I will not allow abuse of anyone involved. This is an important matter for all Catholics - and warrants open discussion.

Anyone who feels that they have a contribution to make to the discussion is invited to contribute. All are, of course, welcome - indeed encouraged - to hang out and read as the debate develops.

You can also tell people on other lists that all Catholics are welcome to join this debate - it concerns all of us.

Other, more "normal" subjects will also continue to be posted on. Br. Pius Mary MICM will no longer be sending the daily saints message; if anyone else can take over on that, the 250 Catholics on this list will be grateful.
