New post Cardinal Bellarmine's Catechism (1597)
Might anyone know where the subject catechism might be found, even in Latin, or Italian, but especially in English?

I am not talking about Bellarmine's "Small Catechism," Italian text with English translation, published at Boston, in 1853.

I`ve his "Dottrina Cristiana breve" which I believe is the "small catechism" (22 pages), right? followed by "Dichiarazione piu copiosa della dottrina cristiana" (55 pages), I don´t know if this is what you are looking for?

Yes. That's it.

For those who might be interested, I have recently found Pope Pius X's Catechism, translated in 1910 by an Irish priest. I have made a PDF out of it, and will be posting it to my website's library soon.

To be frank I`ve no idea how to pass it to you! I don´t have scanner (although I may try to get one, but it may take some time)

Please don't concern yourself with trying to pass it on to me, Cristian. Most of that Catechism ended up in the Catechism of the Council of Trent anyway. I was interested in reading it mainly because St. Robert wrote it, and I would have a better idea of his thoughts on various matters, but I also wanted to read it for its historical value, to get some idea of the development of catechisms since his time.

Thanks.

By the way, we have added downloadable PDF copies of The Catechism of the Council of Trent (MacHugh and Callan version), and of the Catechism of St. Pius X to our library on our website.

Gabriele:

There are several things I do not like about Scribd: 1) in order to download anything from there you first have to log in via Facebook or some such network, and 2) after I have logged into my Facebook account (which I rarely use), there pops up the following in which I must allow Scribd to: "A) Post to Facebook as me Scribd may post status messages, notes, photos, and videos on my behalf., B) Access posts in my News Feed, and C) Access my data any time. Scribd may access my data when I'm not using the application."

I am not going to do this.
