 Most Intellectual Traditional Orders?
What are the most intellectual traditional orders? I've heard of the Fraternity of St. Vincent Ferrer, a group of Dominicans in communion with Rome but not officially in the mainstream Dominican order. Are there any other intellectual, traditional orders? Thank you

 Re: Most Intellectual Traditional Orders?
The Fraternity of st Vincent Ferrar were disciples of Michel Gueard des Lauriers, and if not sede-privationists, then sede vacantist, under Pere Louis-Marie de Blignieres, the produce a review called Sedes Sapientiae. F de Blignieres had based his sede-ism on religious Liberty and later on (early 1980s) decided that the document was in line with tradition and so became a habemus-papamist and so did the tiny community. They are recognised by the Vatican but not accepted by the Dominican Order. They are said to be "very intellectual"; the Avrille Dominicans (SSPX affiliated) produce a massive review Sel de la Terre, either monthly ot quarterly. I think that Bishop Williamson is their censor. There is a large french book about the Ecclesia Dei-recognised orders published a few years ago by the magazine La Nef.I can get the title and details if you want it.

 Re: Most Intellectual Traditional Orders?
I can't answer your question since I have an extremely limited knowledge of traditional orders having had personal contact with a very small number of clergy and religious in exactly two orders. (Truth be told, I'm not even sure they would actually be classified as "orders" in technical terms.)
However, it would seem that the world doesn't need "intellectual orders" and, in fact, "intellectual orders" have given us virtually nothing since the turn of the 20th Century but Modernism.
What we need, rather, are holy orders. The world is not going to be convinced by intellect, nor does it seem that many Conciliar Catholics are convinced by intellect.
