 Church and State
While I love America as I have been brought up to do so, as I get older and more mature I am finding more and more problems in this land of the free and home of the brave. Many problems that in my personal opinion could be fixed by a more aggressive and active role of the Catholic Church in American politics and legislation. However, and this is my main question, does the Church have a right to do this? This question is tearing me up, I know that a more active role of the Church would be a huge beneficiary to this entire nation, but that idea does conflict with my overall belief in separation of church and state. This concern of mine is not only applicable to American politics and American society but to the entire world.
This is my first post here at Bellarmine Forums so I'm not sure if this is typically the type of topic that is discussed, if not my apologies but if so I’d love some onions or any recommended reading on the subject.
